Cast Iron Materials and Grades
Cerdic Foundries has a 10,000 SQ meter, highly equipped castings foundry and manufacturing site for the production of quality, cost-effective precision castings in the following materials: Austempered Ductile (ADI), Spheroidal Graphite (SGI), Compacted Graphite (CGI), Grey Flake Cast Iron, Corrosion Resistant Iron, Abrasion Resistant White Iron, Aluminium Alloys, Copper-based Alloys, Nickel Aluminium Bronze Castings and High Chrome heat-resistant steels.
Each material offers different mechanical and chemical properties, making it suitable for specific applications.
Material selection plays a key role in performance, durability and cost. Where required, we can advise on suitable options based on the operating environment and the component’s intended use.
In-House Laboratory
Our metal and ingot is carefully sourced from approved suppliers. Investment in our in-house laboratory enables us to ensure that all materials meet the very high standards our customers expect.
Cerdic Foundries utilise the latest digital metrology equipment, including the optical emission spectrometer “SpectroMAXx”. This, in turn, helps us to very accurately analyse various metal material grades quickly and efficiently.
